Sefcovic, Arthur David of Flushing, age 73, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015, in Charlotte, Michigan. A memorial service will be held 3 p. m. Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. Visitation will be 2- 3 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, share a toast of fine wine in memory of Arthur.
Arthur was born in Flint, Michigan, on October 22, 1941, the son of Stephen and Anna (Bocek) Sefcovic. He worked at A.C. for 43 years and was a lifelong Flushing resident. A regular visitor to Frankenmuth, Arthur could often be found listening to a polka played there by a strolling accordion player or treating his daughter, Anna, to an evening of good food and the fine wines which he collected. He enjoyed learning about Asian cultures and lived for a time in Korea teaching English. In his younger years, Arthur enjoyed camping, canoeing, hunting, and getting outdoors. He had a sly, drawing sense of humor. Often a kind and generous man, Arthur also enjoyed taking time getting to know people and talking with them. He was particularly delighted by his granddaughter, Sophia, and also enjoyed close relationships with many of his nephews.
Arthur is survived by his daughter, Anna Irene (William) Martin; granddaughter, Sophia Audrey Irene Martin; sister, Helen (Louis) Gingras; sister-in-law, Barbara Sefcovic; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Anna; brother, Methodius; and sister, Cecilia. |
