KIMBER, Nancy M. - Of Flint, age 82, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, 12534 Holly Road, Grand Blanc,
Pastor Todd Biermann officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those so desiring may make contributions to Faith Lutheran Church, Tiny Tots and Vacation Bible Schools Programs
Visitation 1-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Tuesday at church until the time of the service.
Mrs. Kimber was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 8, 1934. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Nancy participated in Vacation Bible School, the Board of Social Ministry, the Angel Tree and ran Tiny Tots for over 40 years as well as Sunday School and many other programs. She enjoyed spending quality time with her companion of 25 years, Al Johnson.
Surviving are 3 children, daughter, Karen and husband Grant Powers of Grand Blanc, son, Charles J. Kimber Jr and wife Cathy of Vestaburg, MI, son, Robert Kimber of Pagosa Spring Colorado;
six grandchildren, Michael Powers, Trevor Kimber, Kristopher Kimber, Justin Kimber, Nicole (Powers) Mineau, and Lauren (Powers) Potter;
four great-grandchildren, Ava and Kasen Kimber, Reagan and Ethan Kimber;
several nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Kimber in 1988, daughter, Carol Kimber in 1954, sister, Betsy in 1978, parents, James and Eva Mullin.
