GOYETTE, Lucille Marie (Small) – of Davison, MI, age 94, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Saturday, July 18, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. The family will receive visitors 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday, July 18, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or D.E.L.T.A. Rescue (Dedication and Everlasting Love to Animals Rescue), in Lucy’s name.
Lucy was born October 11, 1925 in Flint, MI, daughter of the late Thomas and Blanche (Wichtowski) Small. She married Luke D. Goyette in 1944 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 1984. Lucy worked in women’s retail and was a gifted homemaker. She was a natural caregiver, dedicating her time as a volunteer for St. Joseph Hospital, Genesys Hospice and Mended Hearts, Inc. Lucy was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Holy Family 55 and Over Club.
Lucy is survived by 4 children, Michael (Judy) Goyette, Cherie Simmons, Anne (Louis) Koryciak and Dennis Goyette; 8 grandchildren, Tony, Todd, Bill, Shelly, Denny, Ashleigh, Tammy and Ryan; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Blanche Small; husband, Luke D. Goyette; 2 sons, Matthew Goyette and Leo Goyette; granddaughter, Wendy Koryciak; 2 sisters, Margaret Booth and Irene Johnson.
