TATE, Linda K. (Sermak) – of Davison, age 71, passed away July 3, 2018 at her residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed by the Daughters of Isabella 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Linda was born in Flint, MI on October 2, 1946, daughter of Stanley and Barbara (Brakora) Sermak. She married Arthur Dennehy in 1970 and had two wonderful children, Bryan and Shannon. Linda married Donald Tate on April 16, 1994 and inherited a great new family. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Linda enjoyed, outdoor activities, traveling, reading, walking and playing with her dog, Nugget. She loved spending time with family and friends. She hired in at AC Spark Plug Division in 1965. Linda worked for 33+ years and retired from GM in 1999.
Linda is survived by her children, Bryan Dennehy, Shannon (Chad) Dennehy-Chapman, William (Debbie) Tate, Earl (Sheri) Tate; grandchildren, Delia Chapman, Shaun (Lindsay) Tate, Jake Tate, Jessica (Chris) O’Neal, Jennifer Tate and Amanda (Nick) Simms; great-grandchildren, Alivia, Maci, Easton, Khilyn and Khloe; siblings, Tom Sermak, Bev (Kevin) Dolan, Mike Sermak, Ken Sermak, Ann (Dan) Blamer, Bob Sermak, Mary Ellen (Rick) Nielsen; 14 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Donald; daughter, Lisa McNicol; grandson, Ryan Tate.
