LUTEN, EDITH M. - Of Flint Township, age 94, died Saturday, May 18, 2024 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Whaley Children's Home.
Visitation 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Edith was born in Flint, Michigan on December 16, 1929, the daughter of the late Wilfred J. and Marie H. (West) DesJardin.
On September 25 1948, she married Joseph R. Luten, Sr.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She was quick witted and fiery; always ready with a joke.
Surviving are son, Joseph (Sherry)Reid, Jr.;
son-in-law, William Klocek;
grandchildren, Scott, Kelly Klocek and Dana Luten;
several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren;
2 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, Sr. in 2020; daughter, Terry; daughter-in-law, Teri; sister, Elaine Prince and brother, Wilfred DesJardin, Jr.
