KING, Penny W. – of Flint, age 69 passed away June 30, 2015 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-6 PM Monday and Tuesday and 10-11 AM Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Medical Team Hospice.
Penny was born in Lapeer, MI on June 28, 1946, daughter of the late Hugh and Leona (Whitman) Boyce. She enjoyed quilting, the symphony and was a huge sports fan, especially U of M football. Penny loved swimming and floating in a pool. She especially loved her grandkids and was their biggest cheerleader. Penny cherished her job as a Social Worker for the State of Michigan.
Penny is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Charles) Ellsworth; grandchildren, Sabrina (Chris) Sansing, Justin Franta, Joseph Franta, Alex Ellsworth; great grandchildren, Kiersten and Austin Sansing; great-great grandson, Tristin Sansing; sister Susan King. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph King in 1989 and sister, Nancy Swayze. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bill Hukill for his care.
