FIGULA, Jane – of Burton, age 95, passed away May 27, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 11 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-4 PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic School.
Jane was born in Flint, MI on June 18, 1920, daughter of the late Leo and Pearl (Babcock) Benore. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1938. Jane married Stephen Figula at St. Michael Catholic Church on May 1, 1943 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2008. She was a charter member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a past Altar Society member, S.N.PJ. Society member and Royal Quarter member. Jane worked at AC Spark Plug and for the Navy in Pearl Harbor until the end of WWII.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Figula; son, Richard (Deborah) Figula; grandson, Brian Figula; granddaughter, Betsy Figula; sisters, Rosemary Yates, Mary (Fred) Johnson; brother, Phillip Benore; many loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edsel and Charles Benore.
