KISH, John – of Lapeer, formerly of Flint, age 87, passed away August 30, 2016 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, September 2, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at church.
John was born in Piper, AL on August 7, 1929, son of the late Frank and Margaret (Fejedelem) Kish. He married Esther Dietlin on May 12, 1956 in Flint, MI. John owned and operated Kish Adult Foster Care Home in Otisville, MI for over 30 years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
John is survived by his wife, Esther; children, Pamela Hazelief, Cheryl (Steve) Thomas, John (Pamela) Kish, Patricia Avila, Michelle (Kenneth) Lang; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by five siblings.
