McFARLANE, Jane N. – of Clio, age 86, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held 3PM Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor LuAnn Rourke officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2-8PM and Saturday from 11AM until the time of service at 3PM. Contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the charity of one’s choice.
Jane was born April 27, 1929 in Flint, Michigan to the late Clarence and Marguerite (Curtis) Thomas. She married Robert D. McFarlane July 23, 1949 at the United Methodist Church in Swartz Creek. He preceded her in death January 7, 2014. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Jane enjoyed reading, crocheting, bowling and trips to the casino.
Surviving are: Children: Delynne (Jack) Parth of Clio, Dianne (John) Baggett of Columbiaville, Brian (Velda) McFarlane of Steamwood, IL, Blair (Nancy) McFarlane of LaSalle; 8 grandchildren: Jennifer (Jason), Craig (Angela), Alan (Trish), Michelle (Jim), Andrea, Zachary, Kaitlyn and Jess (Greg); 11 great-grandchildren; Brother, Pete (Betty) Thomas; Several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Melissa Parth and sisters: Catherine Gray and Margaret Kirby.
