BURCH, Joan L. – of Burton, age 74, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, 10 AM–8 PM Friday. On Saturday, visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service.
Joan was born in Flint, MI on September 7, 1939, daughter of the late Eugene and Jennibelle (Marcou) Bosman. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, camping and salmon fishing. Joan worked at Consolidated Packaging in Flint for 28 years.
Joan is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles; children, Eugenia (Robert) Thick, Charles, Ronald, Deborah Johns; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Mary) Bosman, Ted (Sharon) Bosman; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Leland (Kathy) Burch, Kenneth (Sharon) Burch, Shirley (Richard) Gean, Ed (Pam) Smith, Gene (Donna) Shultz, Garey Shultz and Debbie; special friends, Raymond (Bernita) Payne; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Karine Shultz.
