RUSTIN, Mr. John P. of Swartz Creek, MI-age 75 passed Friday, March 21, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Celebration of his life will be Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church 4494 N. Linden Road, Flint, MI. Pastor Walt Rose and Chaplain Goodman Cox, officiating. Final resting place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, special project fund.
John was born April 10, 1938 in Morehouse, MO, son of Gideon and Willie(Campbell)Rustin. Surviving is wife, Pamella; daughter, Yvonne(Jeffrey)Watson of Princeton, KY; son, John(Shelia)Rustin of Greeneville, TN; Amy(Conway)Mason of Madisonville, TN, R. Wayne(Michelle)Brockman of Sweetwater, TN; two brothers; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
John was known by his giving spirit and generosity to help others. He was a born again Christian devoted to his church and family. Although he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, we have great comfort knowing he is in the Lords hands.
