Farage, Louis J. of Flint Twp., age 94, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Woodhaven Senior Facility. A funeral mass will be at Noon on Wednesday, August 23rd. at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, with Fr. Pierre T. Bassil officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Louis was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 21, 1923, the son of Joseph and Florine (Ameen) Farage. He married Helen R. Awad at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flint in September of 1945. Louis is a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during WWII as a Paratrooper. He retired from Michigan Bell Telephone company in 1986. Louis was a founding member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church in Flint.
He is survived by his son, Bob Farage and wife Bethany of The Villages, FL.; daughters, Sally Herzberg and husband Ronald of Gaines Twp., MI, Nancy Kirk and husband John of Grand Blanc, MI., and Margaret Farage of Clio; four grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; sisters, Mary Gyenge, and Martha and husband James Swan. In addition to his wife, Helen, he was preceded in death by his brother, Nyme.
