Jan Michele Scott
Age 82 Years of Corunna passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Thursday, July 25, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating. Jan's final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24,2024 from 2PM to 8PM. A rosary will be prayed at 7PM.
Jan was born September 7, 1941 in Durand, the daughter of Michael and Evelyn (Conklin) Smith.
She graduated from Durand High School and attended Michigan State University, where she had earned a bachelor's degree in Education.
Jan was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She spent her life serving her family, church and community.
She married Joseph Scott at St. Mary's Catholic Church on August 17, 1963. He later predeceased her on December 9, 2014.
Jan was a teacher at Corunna Public Schools for over 4 years and continued to substitute for the schools for nearly 17 years.
Jan is survived by her Children, Janeene Temple and Joel Scott (Amy); Grandchildren, Sahar Waller, Connor Scott, Savanna Temple and Anabelle Scott; along with several other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Scott, parents, Michael and Evelyn Smith, Sister, Evelyn Ramseier and brother Conlin Smith.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association. |
