KATRINIC, Donna – Of Black River, age 68, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A K of C memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday followed by a Rosary at the funeral home.
Mrs. Katrinic will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the Mass.

Donna was born July 19, 1947 to Joseph and Jonnie Francis (Bush) Mazzola in Flint, she was raised there. On February 12, 1965, she married Joseph Katrinic, and they were residents of Swartz Creek.
Donna was employed as a Merchandise Representative for Crossmark, and owned and operated LaDonna’s Jewelry and Gifts in Flint.
She retired to Black River in 2006. Donna was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Burton, and of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Black River.
She enjoyed baking and canning, especially jelly.
She was an avid reader, and history enthusiast, she enjoyed camping, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph;
her daughter, Chandra (Brian) Katrinic-Hoss of Kalamazoo;
her son, Joseph (Linda) Katrinic Jr. of Flint;
three grandchildren, Joseph Katrinic III, and J.J. and Sierra Hoss.
