ROCKWOOD, Herbert “Rocky” – of Otisville, age 82, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at his home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 9:30AM Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon officiating. Burial will be in Mills Township Cemetery in Prescott, MI. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Wednesday. A Scripture Service will be held 7:30PM Wednesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan or the American Cancer Society.
Herbert was born in Flint, MI on January 8, 1931, son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Cousineau) Rockwood. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Herbert was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the USMC during the Korean War. Herbert retired from Buick in 1991.
Herbert is survived by his nephew, Leonard (Judith) Rockwood; nieces, Betty (Robert) Kettler, Marilyn (Michael) Bourcier, Lois (Henry) Weir; many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters.
