GUTCHAK, Henry C. – of Clio, MI, age 90, died Friday, March 20, 2020, at McLaren Hospital, Flint, Michigan. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Contributions can be made to the family.
Henry was born June 26, 1929 in Pinconning, Michigan, to the late Christopher and Evangeline
(Tatro) Gutchak. He attended Pinconning schools. On April 23, 1949, in Mt. Morris, Michigan, Henry married Barbara Jean Dubay. He worked at Buick Motor Division for 31 plus years as assembly set-up retiring in 1981. Henry was also a full-time farmer and that was his passion.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially pheasant hunting. Henry loved his family and spending time together. He was known as a loving, caring man that was always “there for you”. He was a fantastic man, a legend, and a hero.
Surviving are; Wife of 71 years Barbara; Sons: Ronald (Debbie Drabek) Gutchak of Beaverton, Michigan. Kevin (Lisa) Gutchak of Clio; Daughters: Christine (Timothy) Kennedy of Genesee, Michigan, Rhonda (John) Schafsnitz of Clio, Michigan, Kellie Bigelow of Flint, Michigan; 12 Grandchildren, 26 Great-grandchildren, 2 Great-great grandchildren; Brothers: Chris Gutchak, James (Marilyn) Gutchak,; Sisters: Elaine Groh, Eleanore Kemp, Maryanne (John) Nechal, Jeanette Arquette, Janet (Ron) Bissonette, Gloria Burns, Theresa (Dan) Helms. Henry was preceded in death by Son: David Gutchak; Daughters: Catherine Nohel, Diane Fyock; Brother: Donald Gutchak; Sister: Clara Yell.
