GIBSON, Sara T. – of Montrose, age 60, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at her residence. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 3PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Janine Plum officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-3PM. Contributions may be made to the family or to Hurley Medical Center-NICU.
Sara was born November 3, 1965 in Conneaut, OH to Michael and Margaret (Hamilton) Theiss and resided in Montrose most of her life. She was an insurance agent for Local Insurance Service Incorporated in Montrose. Sara was a lifelong giver to those in need; she made baby quilts for Hurley NICU and donated money to Heifer International. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, being "Memaw" to her grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are: children, Michael (Fiorella) Gibson of Brooklyn, NY, Megan (Joe) Fondren of St. Loius, Thomas Gibson of Grand Rapids; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Fondren, Karsyn Fondren, Theiss Gibson; special friends, Pam Smith, Terrie Whitney; and many other family and friends.
