STEPHENSON, Sylvia M. – of Flint, age 73, passed away April 16, 2016 at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday , April 19, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Brent Jerome officiating. Entombment will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 8 PM Monday and 10-11 AM Tuesday.
Sylvia was born in Shepherd, MI on September 24, 1942, daughter of the late Raymond and Clara (Doty) Johnson. She married William Stephenson on December 7, 1963. Sylvia was a life member of the VFW Davison and was a custodian at Kearsley Schools. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping and playing the slot machines. Sylvia was very humorous and loved to laugh. She was a caregiver and an excellent mother and grandmother.
Sylvia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Stephenson; children, Bill (Michele) Stephenson II, Dan (Jennifer) Stephenson, Tom (Lucinda) Stephenson; grandchildren, Michele (Emily Rau) Stephenson, Damian (Taylor Hemmes) Stephenson, Anthony Stephenson and she was a grandma to all including her step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sylvia is also survived by her brother, Dick (Jolene) Johnson; sister, Peggy Kimball; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Dale Stephens, Patty (Dewey) LeBeau and Mike (Debbie) Barrett. She was preceded in death by her siblings, James Johnson and Jacqueline Johnson.
