CRANE, Marian Loraine, age 87, left this vale of tears on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Bentley Manor. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, 520 Butler in Clio on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11 AM. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Relatives, friends and “old acquaintances” may visit the family at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the choirs of Messiah Lutheran Church if desired.
Marian was born in Flint, the first child of the late Harry and Elizabeth (White) Holbin. The family moved to the Clio area when she was 12. She graduated from Clio High School in 1944 and later attended the old Flint Junior College for a short time. Marian joined Messiah in 1961. She worked for the Flint Board of Education for 30 years and Martin School for 16 years.
Survivors are: granddaughter, Rebecca “Beckie” Huffman (Rick Mitchell) of Clio; twin grandsons, Jack Paul Huffman of Flint and Richard “Rickey” (Cindy) Huffman of Clio; their father, Richard Huffman; her precious 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry “Jack” Holbin of Flint, Gary Holbin of Clio, Larry (Elizabeth) Holbin of CA; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: husband Jack in 1998; daughter, Kathryn Crane in 2001; sisters, Betty Holbin, Nancy Bovee; brother, Terry Holbin.
