LUNA, Gilbert- age 53, of Flint Twp., died April 5, 2018 at McLaren Hospital. A Funeral mass will be celebrated 11AM Monday, April 9, 2018 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1227 E. Bristol Rd. Burton. Visitation will be held Sunday 4-8PM at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Rd. Chapel 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. A Rosary will be held Sunday at 7PM at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Martus-Luna Food Pantry. Gilbert was born October 7, 1964 in Flint, the son of Arturo and Ofilia Luna. He married Jennifer A. Trotter in Las Vegas, NV. on May 12, 2014. Gilbert was a semi truck driver for the Food Bank Of Eastern Michigan. He was a 1982 graduate of Ainsworth High School, attended Northwood University and was a graduate of Baker College. Gilbert was a football fan of "Ohio State". He was an avid golfer, coached football, baseball, softball, and wrestling at Ainsworth High School. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Autumn (Brandon Yee) Luna; son, Travis McCall; mother, Ofilia Luna; siblings, Arthur (Marilyn) Luna, Isabel Luna, Andrew Luna, Alice Luna, Susan (Mark) Gill, Juanita (Darrel) Runyon, Dolores Luna, Sally (Chris) Fox; mother and father-in-law, Karyn and Ronald D. Trotter Sr.; brother-in-law, Ronald (Heather) Trotter Jr.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; godchildren, Christopher Fox II, Jenifer and Jamie Luna, Marissa Carr.
