COHEE, Gloria Jean – of Burton, age 90, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Pines of Burton. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Monday, December 17, 2018 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3222 S. Genesee Rd., Burton, MI, 48519; Pastor Daniel A. Wonderly officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Funeral on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Gloria was born in Flint, MI on November 12, 1928, daughter of the late Donald and Fannie (Stanley) Sigsby. She married Burl Cohee on June 4, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1998. Gloria graduated from Central High School in 1947. She became a dental assistant to Dr. Andrew Lobban and later worked at the information desk at St. Joseph Hospital, retiring in 1996. Gloria was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years, and held offices and served on the church boards. Gloria loved traveling and was a member of Senior Adventures.
Gloria is survived by her children, Paul (Joan) Cohee, Tom (Theresa) Cohee, and Kathryn Cohee; grandchildren, Ryan (Michele) Cohee, Valerie (Kris) Durant, Colen (Lynn) Jinks; great-grandchildren, Hanna and Ethan Cohee, Kami and Kaiden Durant, Justin, Halie, Kohl and Colson Jinks; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Burl.
