MIKE “Gorgeous” BORGES, age 91 of Otisville, died Sunday, November 17, 2013. His funeral service will be held at 11AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Mumford – Hudson Funeral Home, with Sister Elaine LaBell officiating. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 12–8PM at the Mumford – Hudson Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Mike was born June 14, 1922 to Fredrick and Cathryn Borges. He married Betty Marshall on August 5, 1950 in Angola, IN. Mike retired from Fisher Body Grand Blanc in 1982 and was a member of UAW Local 1292. He was Sergeant of Arms of NARFE and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the casino. Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Betty (Sue) Borges; children: Laura Bartosz and Linda (Jim) Humphrey; daughter-in-law, Lois Borges; grandchildren: Justin (Kim) Borges, Bill Borges, Paul (Angel) Bartosz, and Mark Bartosz; great-grandchildren: Merik Borges and Nickolas Bartosz. He was preceded in death by his sons: Michael in 2001 and Bill in 2004; 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and his parents. |
