MILLER (TORREY), BARBARA JEAN “JEANIE” – Of Fenton, age 85, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Regency at Grand Blanc.
Visitation 10 a.m. and Celebration Of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Daniel Rhanor officiating.
Barbara was born in Fenton, Michigan on March 31, 1939, the daughter of the late Ross and Viola (Lord) Torrey.
Barb was a member of Faith City Church. She enjoyed working on puzzles and QVC shopping. Barb loved spending time with her family.
Barb retired from General Motors Grand Blanc Tank Plant and was a member of UAW Local #1292.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Linda and husband Jerry Collins of Flint,
Brenda McAra of Westland;
3 grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Shannon Whalen,
Joshua and wife Rachel Sauer,
Tim and wife Brittney McAra;
great-grandchildren, Katie (Jeremy), Alex (Zach), Aubrey (Wesley), Elijah, Sierra, Arianna, Jaxson, Norah and Charlie;
great-great-grandchildren, Aiden, Payton, Lauren, Logan, River and Aiden.
She was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Krista Whalen; her siblings, Robert, Marilyn, Alvin, Betty, Carol and Butch.
