WINDOM, James M. Jr. - Of Grand Blanc, age 89, died Thursday, November 22, 2018 at home with family.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor David Chittenden officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
James was born in Tallapoosa, Georgia on July 1, 1929, the son of the late James and Cliffie (Robinson) Windom Sr. James served in United States Navy for 4 years. On July 7, 1951, he married Ann Crandell at South Baptist Church. He retired from Fisher Body 1 after 34 years of service. James had a love for building and flying radio-controlled airplanes. He also enjoyed camping, boating, waterskiing and spending time with his family.
Surviving are wife of 67 years, Ann;
children, Karen (Larry) Maxson, Mike (Mary) Windom, Greg (Connie) Windom, Steve (Marcy) Windom and Tom (Sheila) Windom;
brother, Billy (Reba) Windom;
and Grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Calhoun.
