GREEN, Elma Lucile (Vander Linden) – of Davison, MI, age 86, has gone to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Private interment in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-8 PM Friday, February 9, 2018 and 10-11 AM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Eastside Mission of Flint.
Elma was born in Washington, D.C. on May 1, 1931 and lived in Hyattsville, MD for 19 years. She graduated from Greenville College in Greenville, IL in 1952, having married Donovan Jarvis Green in Washington, D.C. on December 30, 1950. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2016. Elma and her husband lived in Otisville, MI for 11 years and in Davison, MI for over 50 years, spending numerous winters in Lakeland, FL. She was a devoted wife, beloved mother and precious grandmother. Elma was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed her family, her church, her friends and loved music.
Elma is survived by 5 children, Douglas (Doris) Green, Dale (Debbie) Green, Dave (Bobbie) Green, Debra (Mark) Kulaga and Don (Christie) Green; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Della and Betty Mae; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Edna (Ritgers) Vander Linden; loving husband, Donovan Jarvis Green and her oldest brother, Wilbur.
