HUSOCKI, Marlene Joyce – of Flushing, age 81 died Friday, January 26, 2018 at her home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 1-8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Marlene grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1953. She graduated from Hurley School of Nursing in 1956. She worked for Hurley Medical Center for 13 years and then worked for Genesee County Health Department for 17 years before retiring in 1990. Marlene liked to go to the casino, class reunions, and holiday dinners with her family. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and watching the Tigers. Marlene loved music, dancing and appreciated fast cars.
Surviving are: Children, Sue (Tim Weible) Ingersoll, George (Jennifer) Ingersoll; Step-Children, Jim (Karen) Husocki, Mike Husocki, Doug (Melissa) Husocki; Grandchildren, Steven Fields, Alicia Ingersoll, Derek Ingersoll, Kyla Ingersoll, Liam Ingersoll; Step-Grandchildren, Chase Husocki, Jonathan Husocki, Samantha Husocki; Siblings, Robert (Ethel) Long, Nancy (Mike) Gordon, Jeanine Brigs; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Carol Fulkerson, Sandy Turmell. She was preceded in death by her Husband James Husocki on July 10, 2016; Siblings, Ray Long, Sandy Bower, and Jim Long.
