Passed away Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his home. Age 88 years.
The son of the late Helen (Sutto) and Steve Szukhent Sr. was born February 2, 1931 in Flushing, Michigan. He was a graduate of Flushing High School, Class of 1948 and attended Central Michigan University. He married Patricia Ann McCullum, December 27, 1951. His wife of 67 years survives him. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher Site. He owned and operated a manufacturing business. Steve was a private pilot and loved to fly and make model airplanes.
Surviving are 7 children and their spouses, Ann and Michael Rosencrantz; Steve Szukhent III. and his wife, Jacqueline; Barbara and Tom Pozzi; Patricia Szukhent; Catherine and Terry Kennelly; David and Renatta Szukhent; Robert Szukhent; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two brothers, Mike T. Szukhent and Roland and Jean Szukhent; many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Mary Smith and a sister and brother, Helen Forsyth and Robert Szukhent, have predeceased him.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at date and time to be announced later at St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher site.
