Edward Frank Andruski, born November 15, 1924, passed in peace on December 12, 2019 in Flint, Michigan. Edward was 95 years old at the time of his passing. He was the son of Maryanna (Skrzypczak) Andruski and Stanley (Andrzejewski) Andruski. Edward was a veteran of World War II. He served in northern France and Central Europe as a rifleman. He received many ribbons, medals, and bronze stars, as well as other accommodations. He was a rifleman in combat in the 7th Infantry Regiment.
Edward love to play his harmonica and enjoyed singing to an audience, “You are my sunshine” and “This is the army, Mr. Jones.” Edward enjoyed Bingo and loved watching football! He was proud to show off his Lion’s hats! He was always smiling and brought joy to those around him. Edward leaves behind, nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and one great-great-great nephew! He was preceded in death by his siblings, John (Mary) Andriski, Lucy (James) Briggs, Agnes (Paul) Kasiska and Leonard Andruski. A sincere heartfelt and special thanks to Serenity House who loved and cared for Edward as family. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 19 beginning at 1pm at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc with a memorial service following at 2pm. A luncheon will be served after the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Michigan, 2300 Lapeer Road, Flint, MI. 48503 in memory of Edward.
