RYDZAK, Kathrine Victoria - age 85, of Flint, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3139 Hogarth Avenue, Flint with Rev. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM Wednesday night. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Community Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 90094, Burton, MI 48509. Mrs. Rydzak was born September 5, 1927 in Flint, the daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth (Szabo) Kocsis. She married Anthony Thomas Rydzak on October 25, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2008. Mrs. Rydzak had been the organist at Blessed Sacrament for many years. Surviving are: 5 children, Sandra Poston of Flint, Daniel Rydzak (Cynthia) of Cortland, Ohio, Judith Stiegemeyer (Karl) Of Howell, Mark Rydzak (Sande) of Tucson, AZ, Patricia Covert (Lydale) of Flint; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Steve (Jeannine) Kocsis of FL, Barbara Cruise of Battle Creek, Mary (George) Anibal of Flint, Frances Pavelich of Flint.
