WILSON, Marilyn J. (Cummins) – of Flint, age 69, died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Genesys Convalescent Center in Grand Blanc of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home. Pastor Jerome Taylor of Eastgate Baptist Church officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12-8PM and on Saturday from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Marilyn was born December 14, 1944 in San Francisco, CA to the late Shirley and Margaret (Myers) Cummins. She was a 1963 graduate of Mt. Morris High School and lived in Flint the past 32 years. Marilyn retired from Delphi in 1999 with 34 years seniority. She was a member and officer of the Flint Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #629 and also a member of the UAW Local #651. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and golfing.
Surviving are: brother, Irving (Linda) Cummins of Elkton, KY; 2 sisters, Shirley “Vickie” Bryant of Lakeland, FL, Diane Ridley of Flint; 3 nephews, Jeff (Stacy) La Forest of Flint, Tim Keller of Flint, Aaron (KaLyn) Cummins of Holly Springs, MS; 6 nieces, Cheri (James) Tew, of Kathleen, FL, Cindy (Mark) Bonasse of Davison, Pamela (Mike) Wolfe of Flint, Rebecca Cummins of Elkton, KY, Elizabeth (Isaac) Hiel of Cincinnati, OH, Hannah (Darick) Borders of Elkton, KY; several great nephews and nieces; 1 great-great nephew; 1 great–great niece.
