ROBINSON, James L. – of Flint, age 80, passed away July 19, 2017 at Stonegate Health Campus in Lapeer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, July 22, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 12-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM on Friday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.
James was born in Flint, MI on January 6, 1937, son of the late Victor and Evangeline (Anderson) Robinson. He worked in skilled trades for GM and retired after many years of service. James also did volunteer work throughout the community. He was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Angels of Swartz Creek.
James is survived by his son, Douglas (Paula) Robinson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores (Ed) Grimm and Ellen Uhlmeyer; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Patrick Uhlmeyer.
