VANGILDER-LUTZE, Adaline. – of Clio, age 91, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Swank Home Assisted Living in Swartz Creek. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Swank Home Assisted Living.
Adaline was born October 18, 1927 in Elba, Michigan to the late William and Margaret (Blackmore) Lawrence. She married Ronald W. Lutze on June 3, 1967 in Mt. Morris. He preceded her in death July 12, 2011. Mrs. Lutze retired from General Motors SPO in Swartz Creek with 28 years of service. She was a member of the UAW Local #659 and Flushing Moose Lodge #1437. Adaline enjoyed oil painting, basket making, crafting, and quilting. She also enjoyed golfing, gardening, and clogging.
Surviving are: Son, Gregory (Marisue) VanGilder; Daughter, Paula (Dan) Kruszka; Grandchildren: Brian, Brent, Joel, and Kimberly; Great grandchildren: Miranda, Haley, Brady, Chloe, Isabella, and Alex. Adaline was also preceded in death by her siblings: Rita, Sarah, Alma, Wellington, Donald, and Darwin.
