Bond, Billy E.- Age 74, of Durand formerly of Flint, died Saturday, August 1, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held 2PM-8PM Tuesday and 10AM until time of service Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Billy was born October 13, 1940 in Burton Twp., Michigan, the son of the late Wesley and Mary (Minniear) Bond. He married Janet Fournier on April 24, 2004 and she preceded him in death on October 14, 2010. Mr. Bond worked at GM Chevrolet Metal Fab. retiring in 1989 with 31 years of service. He played fast pitch softball from 1960-1975 and was a graduate from and played baseball for Central High School, class of 1957. Billy enjoyed bowling and bowled at almost every alley in flint. He also enjoyed golfing, watching sports on T.V. and loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Surviving are: children, Sally (Dan) York of Westland, Mary (Al) Keys of Swartz Creek, Wesley (Anne) Bond of Davison, William (Darlene) Bond of Genesee Twp., Craig Dingman of Albuquerque, NM , Kimberly Ellsworth; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; sister Margaret White of Campbell, MO; brother Wesley (Joanne) Bond of Flushing and K-9 companion Chloe.
