Lucius, Phyllis A. (Hall) – of New Lothrop, age 90, died Monday, February 6, 2017, at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Phyllis at 11 AM on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Rev. Fr. John Cotter officiating. Burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery in New Lothrop. The family will receive visitors at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Friday from 2-8 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of mass at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice or Twin Township Ambulance Co.
Phyllis was born April 14, 1926, in Mason, Michigan to the late Emerson and Edith (Havens) Shepard. She graduated from Eastern Lansing High School in 1945. Phyllis married Fred Hall in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1977. She later married Harold Lucius in 1981 and he preceded her in death in 1986. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Phyllis was a longtime employee of O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes in Clio and Montrose and Martin Funeral Homes of Chesaning and New Lothrop. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a hospital volunteer for several years. She was also a member of the Flushing Senior Center. Phyllis loved to dance, sing, play cards, and spend time with her family and beloved friends.
Surviving are: 3 children: Penny Hall of Fenton, Bruce (Stella) Hall of Seabrook, TX., Brian (Shelly Sampier) Hall of Owosso; Step-daughter, Sharon Faber of Saginaw; Grandchildren: Keith (Lindsi) Johnson, Brent (Sarah) Johnson, Shain Hall, Heather Hall, Tanner Hall, Autumn Goad-Hall, Brandon Goad-Hall; Great grandchildren: Grady Johnson, Griffin Johnson, and Maxwell Hall; Phyllis was also preceded in death by her baby son, Jack D.
