WILHITE, Eileen Faith – of Flint, age 89, passed away May 20, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 3 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Private burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 1-3 & 5-7 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association or a charity of one’s choice.
Eileen was born in Iron River, MI on December 5, 1926, daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Albert) Young. She married Carl Wilhite on October 16, 1943 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2007. Eileen retired from K-Mart after 20 years of service. She enjoyed fishing, flower gardening, BINGO and traveling.
Eileen is survived by children, Connie McGuire and Trudy (William) Guith; daughter-in-law, Janice Wilhite; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Pittenger, Jody (Dionne) Pittenger, Terry (April) Wilhite, Jr., Kimberly (John ) Johnson, Kevin Guith and Lonnie (Heather) Guith; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Terry Wilhite; two sisters, Cecilia Mitchell and Herlinda Glover; brother, Albert Young. The family wishes to thank special nieces, Sheryl Ladd and Debbie Christenson, for all their love and support.
