LANE, Ruth Ann – of Davison, age 87, passed away June 4, 2015 at Clare Bridge of Grand Blanc. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Davison Free Methodist Church, 502 Church St., Davison; Pastor David Howe officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Free Methodist Church.
Ruth was born in Muskegon, MI on May 22, 1928, daughter of the late William and Hazel (Stahl) Wright. She married Jim Lane on March 21, 1959. Ruth was very proud of her extensive sewing skills, making many beautiful creations. She took great pride in teaching her granddaughters how to sew. Ruth retired from GM after 30 years of loyal service.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jim; daughters; Susan Howe and Hope (Riley) McLincha; son, Mark (Kay) Rainbolt; step-daughter, Le Ann (Jerry) Schulze; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends; sister, Judy (Mark) Carr; brothers, Homer (Dorothy) Wright, Duane Wright and James Wright. She was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Herlein, Phyllis Reynolds and Wanda McRoberts; son-in-law, Howard Howe.
