Dugan, Barbara – of Clio, age 96, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 1PM until the time of service.
Barbara was born April 18, 1928, in Flint, MI to the late Christian and Blanche (Burton) Kagey. Barbara dedicated many years of her life to serving as a secretary at Hurley Medical Center before retiring. Barbara's compassionate spirit and unwavering faith were evident to all who knew her. As a devoted member of the Clio Assembly of God, she found solace and strength in her religious beliefs. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, tending to her yard, and cheering on the Detroit Tigers which brought her immense joy. Above all, Barbara cherished spending time with her family, especially encouraging her grandchildren in all their pursuits.
Barbara's feisty nature and strong will were matched only by her boundless capacity to love and care for those around her. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Surviving are: Children: Howard (Rochelle) Thompson, Christian (Kelli) Thompson, David (Cheryl) Thompson, Linda (William) Ferguson, and Johnathan Thompson; Grandchildren: Matthew Thompson, Micheal Thompson, Curtis Thompson, Katie Phillips, Christopher Cole, Rebekah Thompson, Joseph Pickerel, Brandon Pickerel, Blake Pickerel, Levi Ferguson, Kara Weaver, Kamye Thompson; She was blessed with 24 great grandchildren; Sister, Beverly McFarland. She is preceded in death by her late husbands: Howard Thompson Sr, and Bert Dugan; Brother, Douglas Kagey; Grandson, David Thompson II. |
