Mary Alice Marino was born in Flint, Michigan on August 2, 1927 to Nicholas and Nora (Nadeff) Romley. She resided in the Flint area all her life and married her husband Salvatore Marino on April 14, 1951. Mary was a homemaker and raised 4 children. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church and was active in the community. She was a member of the Ladies Cedars Club and Alwatan Social Club, where she was past President of both.
Mary volunteered for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and ALSAC (American Lebanese Syrian Association Charities), a fund raising organization for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. She loved being around people and was called 'MOM' by many more than just her own children. Mary loved her family and faith, traveling and shopping.
She had a tremendous joy and passion for cooking and loved to share it with all she knew. Her life was well lived and she was loved by many and will be missed greatly.
Mary is survived by her daughters; Sheri (Frank) Simoni and Michele Morgan;
son Peter (Julie) Marino;
grandchildren Mario Simoni, Alaina (Michael) James, Brooks & Reese Morgan, Kyle & Denise Marino;
great-grandchild, Rocco James; sister Margaret (Al) Grammal;
several nieces and nephews, many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore, daughter Denise, parents and brother Joseph.
We wish to thank our special friends, Diane Dunsmore and Jackie Bowles, who’s love care and attention allowed Mary to remain in her home for many years. Also a special thank you to the staff at Vicinia Gardens for all the loving care they provided.
