COCHRAN, Margaret "Peggy" V. Flynn- Age 96, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday October 27, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday November 6, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 6PM-8PM Thursday and 11AM until time of service Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Margaret was born March 28, 1924 in Flint, the daughter of Warren and Leona (Dahljelm) Carl. She married Duane Cochran on March 14, 1970 in Flint and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1980. Margaret graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1942 and retired from the General Motors, AC Spark Plug Division with 20 years of service. After her retirement Margaret worked for Hamady Brothers for many years. Margaret lived in Swartz Creek since 1966 and was an active member in the Eastern Star in Swartz Creek and Linden; Swartz Creek Lions Club; past treasure of the Swartz Creek Historical Committee. She was also a member of the Mundy Presbyterian Church and a former member of the U. S. Power Squaron and the Claredon Dance Club. In her spare time Margaret enjoyed going to the casino, cooking and entertaining family and friends at her home. Surviving are: stepchildren, Gail (Phillip) Cowan , Nancy (Stephen) Ridzik, and Alan Cochran; sister-in-law, Myrna Gallinat; son-in-law, Dave (Terri) Prince; grandchildren, Douglas Prince, Kristina Prince, David Prince, Lisa Hopko, Joshua Cowan, Allen Dahljelm; great grandchildren, Justin, Mariah, Chelsea, Madison, Austin; brother, Irving "Ted" Gallinat and many nieces and nephews. Margaret had special friends, Dona Flynn, Pamela and Gene Mercum, Barbara Pyne, and Rex (Sally) LaLonde She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Leona Carl; step father, Paul Gallinat SR.; husband, Duane Cochran; daughters, Judy Marie Robinson, Barbara Ann Prince; step daughter, Deborah Cochran; granddaughter, Sherry Prince; sister, Gertrude "Trudy" Cross; brothers, Paul Gallinat Jr and Norman Gallinat and brother-in-law, George Cross.
