BOWLES, Robert Richard "Bob" - Age 89, of Hudson, FL, formerly of Flushing. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. A memorial service will be held 7 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM. Bob was born March 25, 1928 in Flint, the son of Richard and Ruth (McCullough) Bowles. He married Joyce Ambrose, the love of his life on February 18, 1950. Bob retired from General Motors after 30 years of service as a skilled trade toll and die maker. He loved to work in his garage always fixing something or making something better. Bob was a good friend and good neighbor. Surviving are: his beloved wife of 68 years, Joyce; his children, Christine Rondinelli and husband Steve of Denver, CO, Holly Macksood and husband Tom of Fenton, Rob Bowles and wife Jacqueline of Fenton; grandchildren, Shaun, Courtney, Nicole, Whitney, and Ryan; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Geraldine Ambrose; along with nephews, Larry and James Ambrose. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, James Bowles; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Ambrose. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
