KITCH, Marlyn E. “Mart” – of Flushing, age 78, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at Avalon Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 4 PM Friday, March 15, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Chaplain Don Bennett officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1-4PM. Contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
Mart was born November 17, 1934 in Flushing to the late Ernest and Berniece (Melancan) Kitch. He lived in the Flushing area all of his life. He served in the US Army. Mr. Kitch retired from Victor George Oldsmobile in 1987. He was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge. Mart enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, baking, canning, cooking on his grill and playing horseshoes.
Surviving are: wife, Joan Kitch; daughters, Kendra (George) Atwell of New Lothrop, Shanna (Danny) Kitch of Otisville; grandchildren, Gerad (Haley) Kitch, Gerica Kitch, Joseph Lane and Jackson Lane; sisters, Marie Creamer of Flushing, Maxine Gallagher of Chesaning; brother, Don Kitch of Sebwaing; several nieces and nephews.
