Age 87 of Lapeer, formerly of Burton, Michigan, died January 20, 2017. Funeral services 11:00 AM Tuesday at Hill Funeral Home 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-8 PM. Dale was born in Richfield Twp., Genesee County, Michigan on February 12, 1929, the son of Herbert J. and Cora Bell (Latimer) Ireland. He attended Davison High School. He married Marvel Roberta Bean on December 30, 1955 in Otisville, Michigan and they enjoyed 58 years together. He was employed with GM for 40 years, most of the time at Buick, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Atherton United Methodist Church, Burton and U.A.W. Local 599. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his children; Randall Gene (Gerri Lynn) Ireland of Otisville, Denise Louise (Matthew) Howe of Orlando, FL, and Gary Lewis (Jennifer) Ireland of Grand Blanc, grandchildren; Nathan Ireland, Chad (Sarah) Ireland, Rachel (Joshua) Sauer, Brandon Tobias, Vincent (Carmen) Slocum, Michael Sr. (Megan) Slocum, Daniel (Miranda), Sean, Peter, Lauren, Gabrielle & Patrick Ireland, great-grandchildren; Michael Jr., Olivia, Lucas, Emily, James Slocum, Elijah, Sierra, & Arianna Sauer, Isiah & Serenity Tobias, Malcom, Caleb & Tinley Ireland, sisters-in-law; Ethel Ireland, Loretta (Phillip Sr.) Montiero and Connie Bean. Dale was preceded in death by his wife Marvel, parents Herbert and Cora, sister Ila Ott, and brothers; Wayne Herbert, Roy Laverne, Elton John, Wallace Edgar and Vernon Truman Ireland.
