OXLEY, Michael- of Davison, age 58, died Friday, July 5, 2013 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI, Reverend Father Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 5pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Oxley will be at the church 11am Monday until the time of the Mass.
Mr. Oxley was born in Flint, Michigan and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison. He enjoyed golfing and boating. He was employed by General Motors and retired on April 1, 2012.
Surviving are his wife, Mary;
son, Michael;
sisters and brothers, Connie Trice, David and wife Bobbi Oxley, Char and husband Richard Franzel, Marlene Athey, Phil and wife Carol Oxley, Craig and wife Patti Oxley;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O. Bernell and Ethel Oxley; and sister, Victoria.
