Schillman, JoAnn of Flushing, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2015. A memorial service will be 12 noon, Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Tina Koon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
JoAnn was born in Flushing, Michigan on April 9, 1942, the daughter of Harold and Helen (Hawkins) Davis. She married Ronald Schillman on December 2, 1961 at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. JoAnn was an avid reader and loved traveling with her husband. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and card games. JoAnn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald; children, Michael and wife Lynda Schillman, Patrick and wife Kathy Schillman, Susan and husband Matthew Lurvey, Pamela Schillman; grandchildren, Nikholas, Erika, Austin, Emily; four great-grandchildren; beloved cat, Buddy; sisters, Betty and husband David Cowden, Barbara Voelker; brother, Gary David; several cousins, nieces, nephews; lifelong friend, Judy Smith. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents.
