RHOADS, Arlene M. (Weston) - Of Flint, age 88, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Dave Hintz officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
Visitation 10:30am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Arlene was born in Flint, Michigan on June 3, 1927 and was the daughter of Earl and Marion (Richardson) Weston. She married Donald Rhoads on June 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1993. Arlene enjoyed crocheting afghans and sewing. She was a member of the Sam’s Club at First Church of the Nazarene in Owosso. Arlene was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 28 years, retiring in 1983.
Surviving are her 4 children, Gary and wife Joanne, Pam and husband Pat Maynard, Timothy, Kevin and wife Kami;
8 grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren;
2 brothers, Oden and wife Angie Weston and Lee Weston;
several nieces and nephews
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Vivian Stratton; and brother, Howard Weston.
