BECKWITH, Irene M. – of Burton, age 100, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 PM Monday, November 4, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM-1 PM Monday at the church.
Irene was born in Flint, MI on August 25, 1919, daughter of the late John and Louise (Pierson) Kalanquin. She married Lewis E. Beckwith, Jr. and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1991. Irene was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 50 years and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Irene is survived by her children, Lewis (Vicky) Beckwith of Port Charlotte,
FL, Gayle Wilcox of Burton, MI; son-in-law, Tom Berry of Linwood, MI; grandchildren, Travis (Kari) Wilcox, Troy (Jessica) Wilcox, Julie Berry, Jannell (Rob) Russell, Caren (Matt) Arion, Ryan (Sara) Berry, Alycia Beckwith; great grandchildren, Taylor, Chase, Jillian, Collin, Brittyn, Grayson, Austin, Megan, Molly, Robert, Jack, Elle, Nick, Patrick, Hudson; very special friend, Angie Coburn. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lynda Berry; sister, Marie Burrus; brother, LaVern Kalanquin.
