GEISENHAVER, Robert Willis – of Burton, age 85, passed away June 7, 2016 at his residence under hospice care. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint; Pastor Gary L. Beck officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on November 2, 1930, son of the late Franklin and Viola (Pelleran) Geisenhaver. He married Marlene Bertaso on January 28, 1950. Robert graduated from Kearsley High School in 1949 holding several track records. He enjoyed bowling, softball and golf. Robert loved all sports and was past President of the Flint Bowling Association. He enjoyed retirement and loved spending time with family and friends. Robert was a Supervisor for GM machine repair and after retirement worked at Brookwood golf course in the Pro Shop.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marlene; children, George (Julie) Geisenhaver, Kurt (Cynthia) Geisenhaver and Tony (Jamie) Geisenhaver; daughter-in-law, Margaret Geisenhaver; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Delores (Robert) Gatlin; sisters-in-law, Beverly Geisenhaver and Rita Potter; many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by son, Robert Geisenhaver and brother, Doug. A special thank you to James Walter and Staff, Davita of Burton Dialysis Team, our wonderful neighbors, family and friends, Pastor Beck and St. Mark Lutheran Church.
