SELF, Myrtie E. (Gibbs) – Of Flint, age 76, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Tender Care Health Center of Frankenmuth.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road,
officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 122 West Hill Road, Flint.
Myrtie was born in Paintsville, KY on January 5, 1939, the daughter of Estill and Tera (Salyers) Gibbs, and was a resident of the Flint area since 1942.
She was a 1957 graduate of R.N. Mandeville High School. She was a lifetime member of AMVETS Post 3720 Auxiliary.
Surviving are two children, Jerry and wife Trish Self of Wellston,
Evelyn and husband Ron Stewart of Flint;
6 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren;
brother, Jerry Gibbs of Swartz Creek and
nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother; an aunt and uncle.
