LAMBERT, Alvin “Al” Fred – Of Clio, age 83, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Angel Manor Assisted Living.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Al was born in Flint, Michigan on March 8, 1936, the son of the late Frederick and Lucille (Foster) Lambert.
Al proudly served in the United States Army. On October 12, 1990 he married Shirley Lewis. Al was a Lifetime Masonic Temple Member. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. Al enjoyed golfing and being outdoors. He was a hunter and fisherman and loved spending time feeding the birds.
Surviving are children, Alvin Scott (Dee) Lambert, Mark (Laura) Lambert, David (Karrie) Lewis, Tammy (Joey) Reitano, Dana (Doug) Atwater and Shelly Lewis;
18 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren;
sister, Connie Flaig;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lambert;
son, Steven Lewis;
grandson, Robert Lewis;
son-in-law, Michael Summerfield;
brother-in-law, Dave Flaig.
