CRAVEN, Boyd Lee - Of Grand Blanc, age 86, died Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 12pm Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor David Chittenden officiating.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Ascension Hospice.
Boyd was born in Choccolocco, Alabama on February 18, 1933, the son of William A. and Rosa M. (Robinson) Craven. Boyd was a Sergeant 1st Class Tank Commander in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. Boyd and Barbara would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on November 20.
Surviving are wife, Barbara;
children, Boyd (Donna) Craven, Jr. and Cyndy (Mitch) Quirin;
daughter-in-law, Pat;
brother, Tommy Craven;
9 Grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy J. Craven, 3 brothers, 1 sister and many other loved ones.
